Who we are

Lucknow Imaging Centre is a diagnostic centre at 4/12, Vijayant Khand, near Kathauta Chauraha, in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. People come here for scans, X-rays, heart tests, blood tests and breast imaging. Many patients bring a prescription from their own doctor. The team will tell you when you ask whether your test needs one.

There is one centre and no branches. Imaging and pathology share the same address, so you can ask about a scan and a blood test in a single message.

Two radiologists work here. A radiologist is a doctor trained to read scans and X-rays and to write the report your own doctor uses. Dr. Akanksha Bajpai works in diagnostic imaging, and Dr. Pranjali Joshi leads breast imaging.

Our aim is plain: to explain each test before you arrive, and to help you understand what the report says.

Diagnostic imaging

Diagnostic imaging covers ultrasound, Colour Doppler, digital X-ray, 2D Echo and ECG. Colour Doppler is an ultrasound that also shows how blood flows through vessels. 2D Echo is an ultrasound of the heart.

Three more ultrasound services have their own pages: fetal ultrasound for pregnancy, gynae ultrasound for the uterus and ovaries, and joint ultrasound for tendons and soft tissue. Preparation differs from test to test, and the team confirms it when you book.

Pathology and health packages

The laboratory takes blood and urine samples for routine tests and for ten health packages. A package is a fixed set of tests built around one health question. Examples are diabetes, blood pressure, anaemia, the liver, the kidneys, thyroid, bones or the years after menopause.

Fasting is needed for some blood tests and not for others, so the team confirms it when you book. Home sample collection is offered for selected tests in selected parts of Lucknow, and availability is confirmed when you ask. See request a home visit for how to ask.

Advance Breast Care

Advance Breast Care is the centre's breast imaging service, led by Dr. Pranjali Joshi, a breast radiologist. It covers mammography, 3D mammography and breast ultrasound, and the tests that follow when something needs a closer look.

Most breast changes are not cancer, but each one deserves proper imaging. A needle sample, such as FNAC or a biopsy, is booked only after the radiologist has reviewed your reports and images.

Image-guided procedures

Image-guided procedures use ultrasound or other imaging to place a needle or a thin tube exactly where it is needed. Examples are FNAC, biopsy and the drainage of fluid. Other procedures are listed on the interventional radiology page.

Before any procedure, the team reviews your referral, images and reports. Whether it is carried out at the centre, and by whom, is confirmed after that review.

Two radiologists are profiled on this site. Each profile lists the training the doctor has confirmed, and nothing more.

The doctors page shows which profile covers which area. The team confirms the day with you, and will tell you who reports on your test when you ask.

What you can expect from the team

The team's job is to make a test clear before you come and a report clear afterwards. These are practices you can ask about at any time.

  • Preparation explained first. Fasting, a full bladder or nothing at all depends on the test. The team tells you when you book, before you travel.
  • Ask who reports your scan. The centre has two radiologists, doctors trained to read scans and X-rays. The team will tell you who reports on your test when you ask.
  • Privacy from the first message. The first message needs only the test and a day that suits you. Please do not send private records until the team asks for them.
  • Questions are welcome. Ask the team what you want to know, and whether you can speak to the radiologist about your report. Take the report to your own doctor too.
  • Fees and timing stated by the team. Ask the team about fees and report timing for your test, because both depend on the test.

No accreditation is claimed on this site. The accreditation page explains how to check any centre's certificates, and what to look for in a diagnostic centre lists the questions worth asking before you book.
